The Textile Institute was established in 1910 and is the chartered professional Institute in textiles, clothing and footwear. We embrace all professional disciplines of the TCF industries. Our members represent all sectors, ranging from raw materials to high fashion products.
Membership of the Textile Institute is unique in that it is your organisation and you have the opportunity to build on the achievements of members past and present in their efforts to strengthen our industry.
The Institute is a world wide professional association and the only professional body in Australasia able to verify qualifications and accreditation within the TCF industries with international recognition.
A significant publisher of highly respected books and journals, the Institute's Textile Terms and Definitions is a valuable tool for students to use as they progress through their education programs. Contact the Admin Office to order your copy.
Factory tours, seminars and special events are organised throughout the year. TISA Awards show the various competitions and events that students are encouraged to participate in.
